Saint Pius X School is proud to offer a variety of extra-curricular activities that help our students grow as well-rounded students.
Band – Saint Pius X School students have the opportunity to participate in a band and orchestra program through Columbus Music Academy. Lessons take place at school following dismissal once a week. The students join with their counterparts from Saint Matthew School for three concerts annually. There is an additional fee paid directly to Columbus Music Academy for this activity.
Choir— Saint Pius X School has two choirs that perform under the direction of our General Music teacher. The Gold Choir consists of students in grades 3-5. The Blue Choir is students in grades 6-8. The students perform at a variety of school activities and concerts over the course of the school year. Practices are held during the school day.
Math Counts— Math Counts is open to students in grades 7 and 8 who wish to deepen their math skills in a fun and creative way. Students practice after school and have the opportunity to earn a spot in the regional competition in mid to late winter.
Musical --- Saint Pius X School is proud to present an annual spring musical. Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 make up the cast and crew of this annual production. Students rehearse following school beginning in mid to late January with the production taking place in April.
Power of the Pen-- Power of the Pen is a writing extracurricular activity for 7th and 8th grade students. This activity focuses on creative writing and works to instill a lifelong love of writing. Students throughout Ohio come together in a friendly competition during the Spring.
Student Council – Student council representatives are elected from each 5th through 8th grade homeroom. Students meet over the course of the school year to plan and support a variety of schoolwide activities.
Yearbook— 8th grade students work to create the 8th grade yearbook. Students create and edit the yearbook to look back on their 8th grade year and career at Saint Pius X School. This yearbook is in addition to the whole school yearbook that students may purchase toward the end of the school year.
