I am Mrs. Lori Evans. This is my eleventh year teaching at St. Pius X School. I taught kindergarten at St. Pius for eight years and this is my second year teaching Grade 1.
I received my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the Ohio Dominican University in December, 2012, as Miss Lori Fobes, and became Mrs. Lori Evans in December, 2013. In 2004, I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (PreK-3) from the Ohio Dominican University.
Throughout college I worked with children through latchkey programs, daycare, and babysitting. I also worked for Nationwide Children's Hospital for 12 years in their Health Information Management Department on weekends and holidays.
After I received my bachelor's degree, I worked for Frank and Judy Scali, taking care of their two boys throughout the week, and continued to work at Children's Hospital on the weekends. During this time, I also taught as a substitute at St. Pius X and in the Southwestern City School District. In 2008, I started at St. Pius X part-time, continued to work at the hospital, and then landed a full-time position the following year!
I have always loved working with children and I have a passion in assisting in their academic achievements. I am a very organized, nurturing, and dedicated teacher. I love singing, dancing, and acting silly: anything to make learning enjoyable for the students.
I am very grateful to be a part of such a wonderful school. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns! I look forward to working with you and your child this school year!
