Mind what you have learned.  Save you, it can!  ~Master Yoda

Check the syllabus!  It will list what's planned for class every day, test dates, project due dates, etc.  What a handy tool!  You're welcome.

Keeping track of things is like driving this bus up a narrow road.  You've got to be VERY aware of what's around you, and make course corrections in a timely way.  But, this bus made it up the hill, and you can, too.

  • This Week's Plans

Since Chromebook training won't happen until Monday, here is a brief overview of this short-week plans:

8th Grade Science: Review Observation & Inference with an activity.  Students will receive a packet of forms for Camp (9/30 - 10/2)

8th Grade Religion: Plan Mass for Tuesday 9/2.  Birthday Scripture activity (need Bibles for class on Wed!)

7th Grade Science: Observations can be quantifiable or qualifiable.  We'll use Legos to practice with those terms and ideas.

  • New Syllabus Procedure!

Starting next week, the syllabi will be posted on Google Classroom.  We will roll out the Chromebooks Monday, and everyone who has returned the signed AUP and Chromebook supplement papers will have the opportunity to open them up and get started.  Training for students will include how the devices operate, rules and expectations for use, procedures for getting them and putting them back, online textbook access, gmail, and Google Classroom.  Parents are encouraged to check their childrens' Classrooms (using student username and password) regularly for announcements, assignments and due dates.

Instead of answering syllabus questions on paper, students will complete a Google Survey at the end of each syllabus that will count as an assessment.
